Matt Spicer burst onto the Hollywood scene at just 25 years old, collaborating with Max Winkler and Jonah Hill on early projects that quickly established him as a sharp comedic voice with a singular perspective. He made his directorial debut with Ingrid Goes West, starring Aubrey Plaza, Elizabeth Olsen, and O’Shea Jackson Jr., which premiered in competition at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and went on to win the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.
Since then, Matt has continued to build a body of work that effortlessly blends dark comedy, cultural satire, and emotionally grounded storytelling. In 2024, he directed American Horror Stories starring Henry Winkler, and most recently directed Little Brother, starring John Cena, Eric André, and Michelle Monaghan, premiering on Netflix in June 2026. He currently has multiple narrative projects in development.
